99 Questions by George G Gabler
THE FATHER:
1) Who is Yahweh? Is it true that no one has ever seen or heard the Father?
Yes. According to Messiah’s own words, no man has ever seen or heard the Father.
John 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
1 John 4:12 No man hath seen Elohim at any time. If we love one another, Yahweh dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
John 1:18 No man hath seen Elohim at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
1 Timothy 6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
Yahweh [יהוה] is the ancient biblical name of the Almighty, meaning He IS or He Exists, which is from the verb ‘to be’, and is used exclusively as His name more than 6000 times in the Hebrew Scriptures.
Isa 42:8 I am YAHWEH [יהוה] that is My Name….
Isa 52:6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.
Isa 43:3 For I am YAHWEH thy Elohim, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour….
Some say no one can know, or that it doesn’t really matter…but who will you answer to in the day of judgment? If you love Him, why not use His true name?
2) Isn’t “Elohim” a name?
No. The Hebrew word elohim, is a collective noun meaning mighty ones, applicable to any group with identifiable characteristics, and is used of men, angels, and demons.
3) Why don’t I see “Yahweh” in my bible?
Following the superstitious taboo that the Name of the Almighty is too holy to utter, most translations have substituted “LORD”, and sometimes “GOD”, in its place. The King James uses “Jehovah” instead of “LORD” about 7 times, three of which are in conjunction with a particular attribute, and once uses the shortened “Jah” [Yah: as in HalleluYah] in Psalm 68:4. HalleluYAH is the most widely known phrase in the world.
GOD:
4) Is it true that GOD is a Hebrew name?
Yes. God [from the Hebrew גד -GD ‘gimmel-daleth’], written “gad” in many English bibles, but pronounced “gawd” according to the Hebrew, is: 1) the name of the seventh son of Jacob by Zilpah, Leah’s handmaid, and full brother of Asher, 2) the tribe descended from Him. 3) It was also the name of a prophet during the time of David, and 4) the name of a demonic entity in Isaiah 65:11.
But ye are they that forsake YAHWEH, that forget my holy mountain, that
prepare a table for GOD, and that furnish the drink offering unto MENI.
This reveals that God is not only the name of several men, but also the name of a false deity, and that Yahweh and God are two distinctly different beings.
5) Who is God?
According to Dr. J.Strong (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible), Dr. E.W. Bullinger (the Companion bible), and others, GOD [gawd/gäd] is not the name of the Almighty, The Creator, but the name of an ancient middle eastern deity of fortune.
Catholic scholars correctly identify GOD as “the common or generic name of the several supposed beings”, also linking the name God to Zeus and other pagan deities. [Catholic Encyclopedia]
The meaning of the Hebrew name GOD is divide & conquer, stemming from the Hebrew word ‘goode’, meaning to attack and to invade. Non-Hebrew sources [The Etymological Dictionary of the English Language, 1979] indicate the name connotes to cut, divide, to conjure by incantation (dividing the senses), and by implication to offer sacrifice, thus to worship. (Note: a proper name, by definition, cannot be “generic”.) The common phrase “good god” is a cruel double-entendre.
6) What is the difference?
Yahweh and God are two entirely different entities. The etymology of the names shows the core attribute of each: Yahweh means eternal life; God means divide & conquer. God is the same entity who wanted to take Yahweh’s place of power and worship, and who divided the angels in a rebellious attempt to conquer Yahweh (Isa 14:12-14; Rev 12:4,9). Originally, God was a mighty angel named Heylale, meaning light-bearer, which in Latin is Lucifer.
Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer [Heylale], son of the morning!
7) Where in the scriptures does it say the Almighty’s name is God?
Nowhere. In the Hebrew Scriptures, Yahweh is never called God. However, the name God is used numerous times: mostly regarding the son of Leah and his descendants, but also of a prophet in the time of David, and the deity of Isa 65:11, aka Lucifer.
8) Isn’t God in the bible as the name of the Almighty?
In English and other translations, the answer is “yes”, but not in the inspired Hebrew scriptures. God, the Hebrew name of a middle eastern (Babylonian/Syrian) deity, has replaced the Hebrew word elohim, a collective noun meaning mighty ones, shifting the worship of Yahweh as ‘Elohim’ to God as ‘elohim’.
9) What is the meaning of Baal?
Baal, is a generic term that essentially connotes to be over, as in lord, master, husband, married, captain, owner, etc., and is frequently attached to various deities and cities dedicated to them, one of which is Baal G-d, i.e. Lord God.
10) Why do religions say that God is the name of the Almighty?
Tradition, and the fact that it is Satan that deceives the world (Rev 12:9).
11) Why doesn’t Yahweh simply make one language to get rid of the confusion?
In fact, Zephaniah 3:9 states that is exactly what He is going to do!
12) Was Hebrew the Original Language?
We know that there will be pure language once Messiah returns, as Zephaniah 3:9 states
Zephaniah 3:9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of YAHWEH, to serve him with one consent.
The main purpose, according to the prophet Zephaniah, is so that mankind can get His name right. So apparently getting it right does make a difference!
13) Did Messiah speak Greek?
Because many of the OT quotations by Messiah appear to be from the Septuagint, many assume that it was the Septuagint that was used. However, considering that the average person had an antipathy toward Greek [Acts 21:28-Acts 22:2], and that Hebrew was the official language of the Judaen Synagogues, we might consider another answer, namely that the Hebrew spoken by Messiah and the early believers of the 1st century CE was not exactly the same as the Hebrew of a thousand years later, and when translating this older Hebrew into Greek it was much more in harmony with the Septuagint making it appear that they were using a Greek translation.
14) Does the Bible say we can’t serve two masters?
Yes. Either worship Yahweh in spirit and in truth, or worship something else the way you want.
15) YAH in the scriptures
Is it wrong to use the terms “YAH” or “halleluYAH”?
Whether it is wrong to use the term “YAH” or not, including the phrase halleluYAH, should be answered by the scriptures.
While “YAH” is used (about 46 times: less than .6% compared to the full expression of His Name), we might recognize that when the Jews translated [הללויה] praise-YAH into Greek, particularly at the beginning of a verse (21/22 times), they always employed [αλληλουια] allelouia, from which we receive HalleluYAH. English versions vary, some using “Praise” [RSV; NRS; NKJ;] and others using “Praise ye” seem to follow the LXX in their rendering. The linguistic difference, however, remains negligible.
2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of Yahweh, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Psalm 135:1 Praise ye YAH. Praise ye the name of YAHWEH; praise him, O ye servants of YAHWEH.
Psalm 135:3 Praise YAH; for YAHWEH is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.
[JPS] Exo 15:2 YAH is my strength and song, and He is become my salvation; this is my EL, and I will glorify Him; my father’s Elohiym, and I will exalt Him.
The Son:
16) Is it true that the Savior of the New Testament was the YAHWEH of the Hebrew Scriptures?
Yes. Since the Father has never been seen or heard, the Yahweh Who was seen and heard, the Yahweh Who created all things, the Yahweh Who came down on Mt. Sinai and thundered the 10 commandments, the Yahweh Who spoke to Abraham, Moses, and the prophets was Dabar-Yahweh, the One Who divested Himself of the power and glory of His name, being born of a woman from the tribe of Judah, becoming the man, Yah’shua.
Joh 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Yahweh, and the Word was Elohim.
The same was in the beginning with Yahweh. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: Yahweh our Elohim is Yahweh united:
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Yahweh is Elohim, The Father is Yahweh. The Son is Yahweh, in the flesh, but not the same entity as The Father.
17) What about Mat 3:17?
Rabbi Yah’shua said that no man has ever seen The Father or heard His voice (Jn 5:37). What about Mat 3:17 which states: “And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Since Messiah Yah’shua was the One that heard that voice, and also the One that said no man has ever seen or heard The Father, we have two choices: either He lied, or the voice that was heard was not actually The Father’s, but a messenger from The Father.
All the texts say “a voice”, not The Father’s voice, even though the context is “my son”. This shows the source of the message rather than the carrier of the message. It is the same as the prophetic utterances in the Hebrew Scriptures where the prophet wrote or spoke but attributes the message to the source rather than himself, as in Isaiah 45:5-6. The prophets spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit, yet none said “I said” with respect to any message from Yahweh. This can also be seen in the Greek Scriptures such as “Thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee”, written by two different authors, yet quoting the Psalmist in Psalm 2:7, which was clearly speaking prophetically of The One to come, and not himself, therefore the importance of the message rests with the source, not the messenger.
18) Is it true that real Messiah’s human name was prophetic?
Yes.
Proverbs 30:1 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal,
2 Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.
3 I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.
4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
Psalm 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against YAHWEH, and against his anointed, saying,…
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree: YAHWEH hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee….
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
The prophet Zechariah revealed His human name as Yah’shua 5 times in chapter three, and 1 more time in chapter six. Chapter three deals with His work of grace, while chapter six reveals His work as priest & king. Used a total of six times reveals that it is a man’s name.
The Hebrew name is [יחושוע / יחושֻע] “Yah’shua”, which is also the same name as the Israelite general and successor to Moses, and is transliterated, i.e. phonetically rendered, into Greek as Ιησου. As the articulation of a Hebrew name, it is understood that the ending Hebrew [ע] or ‘ah’ sound is always pronounced regardless of the Greek grammatical ending [ν(n), ς(s)].
19) What is the name of the 5th book of the Bible?
Joshua: יחושוע / יחושֻע]
20) How is the name Joshua/Yahshua [יחושוע / יחושֻע] spelled in Greek?
Yah’shua is spelled ιησου / IHSOU.
21) Is Yah’shua [ιησου] the prophetic name of Messiah given in Zechariah chapter 3:1-9?
Yes!
22) Is the Greek name ιεσου / Iesou in the Bible?
Yes! It can be found in Numbers 26:28.
23) Is it the name of Messiah?
No! It is the name of an Israelite, son of Asher: Yeshua (Jesui)
24) How do you transliterate Yehoshua/Jehoshua into Greek?
Ye-ho-shu-a: ιε-ου-σου-α
25) Is this name ever used in the Scriptures?
No!
26) When were the Hebrew Scriptures translated into Greek?
About 250 BCE
27) Who translated the Hebrew Scriptures into Greek?
The Jews.
28) Is it true that Yah’shua was a Jewish Rabbi?
Yes. He was called Rabbi not only by His disciples, but by others also. [Jn 1:38; Jn 1:49; Jn 3:2; Jn 3:26; Jn 6:25]
29) When was Yah’shua born?
Although many claim ‘no one knows’, the scriptures provide several important clues. One of the most important is the 70 weeks prophecy given by Daniel.
• Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city,
to finish the transgression,
and to make an end of sins,
and to make reconciliation for iniquity,
and to bring in everlasting righteousness,
and to seal up the vision and prophecy,
and to anoint the most Holy.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince [Neh 2:1-7 Artaxerxes 20th year was in 457-456BCE] shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks [7+62=69 weeks (*7 days)=483 years (Num 14:34; Eze 4:6) which comes to 27CE:the year of Messiah’s mikveh (baptism)]: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself [Isa 53:4-9]: and the people of the prince [General Titus under Roman Emperor Vespasian] that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary [70CE]; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
- Messiah entered mikveh (was baptized) at age 30 (Luke 3:23) in 27CE.
• * The Temple construction, begun in 19BCE, was into its 46thyear of construction in Messiah’s 1st ministerial year (27-28CE). - Counting backward 30 years from His mikveh brings us to the year 4BCE (because there was no year zero).
Picking up with the account of Zachariah and the birth of John, we note that the Priesthood served at the Temple in Jerusalem in 1 week periods, called courses, according to their appointed rotation, and all priests served during the weeks of the High Holy Days. The appointments started at Passover.
• Zachariah, the Father of John the Baptist, was of the priestly course, Abiah, which was the 8thof 24 which began in the Spring during the Passover, and was serving during this period when the angel came to him regarding the conception and birth of his son, John. John was conceived shortly after, about mid July (5BCE).
• When Elizabeth was six months pregnant, Messiah was conceived. [Mid January (4BCE)]
• John was born three months later. [mid April (4BCE]
• Yah’shua was born six months later. [mid October (4BCE)]
• *The shepherds were in the field with their flock. This had to occur before the rainy season, which began around early November.
• *The taxing of Cyrenius occurred around the time of the fall harvest.
• *The Feast of Tabernacles occurred during the time of the fall harvest.
30) Is it true that Rabbi Yah’shua died on a cross?
No. Rabbi Yah’shua was nailed to a stake (stauros) and hanged on a living tree (xulon) (Acts 5:30; Acts 10:39; Acts 13:29; Gal 3:13; 1Pet 2:24 -:cp Luke 23:31; Rev 2:7; Rev 22:2, 14.
31) Is it true that Yah’shua was in the grave for three days AND three nights?
Yes. In John 11:9 Rabbi Yah’shua said there were 12 daylight hours per day, leaving an equal amount during the night [12+12=24]. In Matthew 12:40 it is stated:
For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
That means three periods of daylight are [3 x 12] thirty six hours, and the night is [3 x 12] thirty six hours. Three days AND three nights would be [36 + 36] seventy two hours, or three full days and nights.
32) Is it true that Messiah would be executed in the middle of the week?
Yes. Daniel the 9th chapter [vs 26-27] reveals that Messiah will be “cut off”, or die, “but not for himself”, pointing to Himself as the perfect sacrificial offering…which would occur “in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease”. The middle of the week is Wednesday, and in the year 31CE Passover was on a Wednesday (April 28th).
33) Is it true that Yah’shua was resurrected on the Sabbath?
Yes. The entombment of Messiah was rushed because of the impending High Sabbath (the 1st day of Unleavened Bread) which began at sundown (Lev 23:32; see also the days of creation in Genesis chapter 1).
John 19:31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the stauros on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.
42 There laid they Yah’shua therefore because of the Jews’ preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.
Day #1: Wednesday sunset to Thursday sunset: [A High Sabbath (John 19:31)]
Day #2: Thursday sunset to Friday sunset: [A regular work day. Spices are bought & prepared (Mark 16:1)]
Day #3: Friday sunset to Saturday sunset: [The weekly Sabbath of rest (Luke 23:56)]
At the end of the Sabbath, as the first day was approaching, the three days and three nights ended He is resurrected. When the women arrived at the tomb early the next morning, but while it was still dark (John 20:1) they discovered that the tomb was already empty (Mat 28:1-6). Note that there could have been no sunrise resurrection because the women, arriving before sunrise, would have witnessed it.
JESUS
34) Is it true that Jesus was in the grave for three days and three nights, according to the scripture?
No. According to orthodoxy, Jesus allegedly died on a Friday, not in the middle of the week, and was allegedly raised on Sunday morning. The time period from Friday sunset to Sunday sunrise is only 36 hours, or only half the time indicated in the scriptures.
35) Isn’t Yah’shua another name for “Jesus”?
No. The name “Jesus” from the Latin “IESUS” is from the Greek “IESIUS”. IESIUS is the name of a son of Zeus (& Electra). With various renditions, the son of Zeus is also spelled: IESIOS, IESION, IASION.
36) Is it true that the name “Jesus” was not in the Bible until the 17th century?
Yes. Prior to the inclusion of the foreign (French) “j” sound making its way into the English language in the mid 17th century, “Jesus” could not be found in the Bible. The 1611 King James originally used the Latin “Iesu”, in conjunction with various grammatical endings. The first American Bible to use the name “Jesus” was the 1663 Algonquin Bible published by John Eliot.
37) Is it true that Jesus’ birth is the same as other saviors?
Yes. Mithris (Persia), Tammuz (Babylon)…and others…share December 25th as their birth.
38) Is it true that the biblical savior was born on December 25?
No. The true savior was born on Tishri 15th of that year, which would have corresponded to October 14th on the Gregorian calendar in that year. Tishri 15th is a Holy Day, and the 1st day of the Feast of Tabernacles (picturing the millennial reign of Messiah).
39) Is it true that the celebration of many of the pagan saviors involved trees and decorations?
Yes. Going back as far as ancient Babylon, trees were often decorated with silver & gold. Jeremiah (10:1-4) condemned such pagan celebration as worthless.
The Mystery of His Name
40) Is it true that He became sin?
Yes. He was made sin for us (2Cor 5:21)
41) Is it true that He became a curse?
Yes. He was made a curse for us when He was hanged on a tree. (Gal 3:13; Deu 21:22-23)
42) Is it true that scripture says that His prophetic human name would be blotted out of the book of life?
Yes. Yah’shua was born, lived, and died under the law (Gal 4:4). When He bore our sin (Isa 53:6), He became sin (2Cor 5:21) and a curse (Gal 3:13).
Because He was defiled with sin, the penalty, according to the law, was that His name would be blotted out (Deu 29:20).
YAHWEH will not spare him, but then the anger of YAHWEH and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and YAHWEH shall blot out his name from under heaven.
Therefore, His prophetic human name, defiled with sin, has been blotted out of the book of life. The defiled name cannot give life or gain anyone entrance into His Kingdom..
43) Is it true that Messiah inherited Yahweh’s name when He was resurrected?
Yes. According to Hebrews 1:4 He inherited the more excellent name.
44) What is the excellent name?
According to Psalm 148:13, and Psalm 8:1,9, the excellent name is Yahweh.
45) Doesn’t the bible say that there is only one name given for salvation?
Yes. Acts 4:12 states there is only one name.
46) Is it true that Messiah is also the “Rock” of the Hebrew Scriptures?
Yes. “… that Rock was Messiah”. -1Cor 10:4
47) What is the name of the Rock of offense & stone of stumbling?
Both Paul and Peter refer to Isaiah 8:13-14 which says that YAHWEH is His name. (Rom 9:33; 1Pe 2:8; Deu 32:4, 15; 1Cor 10:4; 2Sam 22:2; Psa 18:2)
48) Is it true that prophecy foretold His resurrection in Yahweh’s name?
Yes. Psalm 89:24 states:
But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him:
and in my name [Yahweh] shall his horn [power] be exalted [raised/resurrected].
49) Is it true that Messiah’s name is above every name?
Except for the Father, yes! Ephesians 1:21 & Phillipians 2:9-10 refer to Isaiah 45:21-23 revealing that His name is now YahwehShua, meaning, Yahweh our savior. The name Yah’shua is a common name also used by others.
50) Why isn’t this in the bible?
Prophecy (Jeremiah 11:19) foretold that not only would He be killed, but also that his name would not be remembered.
51) Why doesn’t everyone…or anyone…notice it?
In Hebrew, there is only one letter difference between His 7 letter resurrected name, YahwehShua, [יהוהשוע] and His 6 letter prophetic human name, Yah’shua [יהושוע]. The erasure or blotting out of one letter [ה] in YahwehShua changes it to Yah’shua, so that is all that could be seen in Hebrew. Transliterating Yah’shua into Greek further obscured the precious name.
52) Is YahwehShua the name of salvation?
Yes. It is the name of faith [re: Hebrew 11:1], and the name of baptism. Not only are we immersed into His death (not His prophetic human name), we are raised in the likeness of His resurrection (Rom 6:5), which was in the Father’s name (Ps 89:24), therefore, being raised in the name of the Son, YahwehShua, is also being in the name of The Father, Yahweh (2Jn 1:9; Mt 28:19), because the Father wants us to honor the Son just like we honor Him (Jn 5:23).
ASV Revelation 14:1 And I saw, and behold, the Lamb standing on the mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty and four thousand, having his name, and the name of his Father, written on their foreheads.
53) Is it true there others were called Chrestos/Christos before the biblical Messiah?
Yes. Ancient records that there was a savior cult that believed in a chrestos/christos…several hundred years before the new covenant era.
○…Osiris, the Savior, Judge, and avenger, who also carries the shepherd’s crook or crozier.2 A figure of Osiris reverences as “Chrestos…”; J.M. Robertson, Christianity and Mythology, p. 331
○ The word Chrestos existed ages before Christianity was heard of. It is found used, from the fifth century B.C., by Herodotus, by Aeschylus and other classical Greek writers. J.M. Robertson, Christianity and Mythology, p. 331, [http://www.thothweb.com/content-376.html]
SOUL
54) Does the bible say that the ‘soul’ can die?
Yes.
Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. [&Eze 18:20]
55) Is it true that ‘soul’ is also translated ‘dead body’?
Yes.
The Hebrew word ‘nephesh’, meaning living creature, translated ‘soul’ is also translated creature, body, dead, and at least 12 times ‘dead body’…something that dies.
56) Are beasts and creatures ‘souls’?
Yes.
Genesis 1:21 reveals that sea and air creatures are also ‘nephesh’, ‘souls’.
57) Aren’t souls tortured in hell?
No. A Greek word for ‘hell’ is ‘gehenna’ and means a place of burning; and was originally the valley of Hinnom where refuse was burned, and used figuratively as the place where body and ‘soul’ are destroyed at the end of Judgment Day, also called the ‘lake of fire’ and ‘the second death’.
Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell [gehenna].
Revelation 20:14 And death and hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
58) Do ‘souls’ go to heaven?
No. Nowhere in the scriptures does it say that anyone goes to heaven when they die. On the other hand, scripture does say …
Ecc 3:19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. 20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
Psalm 88:10 Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah.
Psalm 115:17 The dead praise not YAHWEH, neither any that go down into silence.
-which is why we look forward to a resurrection!
59) Is there any activity, knowledge, or emotion after death?
No.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
Ecc 9:2 All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.
5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.
10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
60) Where does everyone get the idea that they ‘go’ somewhere, i.e. that they don’t really die?
Genesis 3: 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
61) Does the Devil deceive the world?
Yes.
Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
62) How does Satan deceive the world?
By pretending to be The Almighty, and preaching ‘his’ word
2Cor 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Messiah. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
63) What is ‘righteousness’?
Psalm 119:172 My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness..
Notice that it is the word of Yahweh, the bible, that the Devil uses to deceive.
THE LAW
64) Are the 10 Commandments still for us today?
Yes.
Mat 5:7 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
65) Did Paul think that the law and the commandments were holy?
Yes.
Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
66) What Law?
Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Yah forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS!
67) What must we do to enter life?
Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, Yahweh: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
68) Do we know Him if we don’t keep the commandments?
No. We know him if we keep his commandments.
1 John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
69) Is it true that the love of Yahweh is keeping His commandments?
Yes. And His commandments are not grievous!
1 John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of Yahweh, when we love Yahweh, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of Yahweh, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
70) Will true believers be keeping the ten commandments when Messiah returns?
Yes.
Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of Yahweh, and have the testimony of YahwehShua Messiah.
Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of Yahweh, and the faith of YahwehShua.
71) Why are the 10 Commandments so important?
Because they ARE the covenant!
Exodus 34:28 And he was there with YAHWEH forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
Deuteronomy 4:13 And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.
Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that YAHWEH thy Elohim, he is Elohim, the faithful El, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
72) Isn’t that just under the ‘Old Covenant’?
No. They are the foundation of the New Covenant as well.
Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith YAHWEH, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith YAHWEH:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith YAHWEH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be theirElohim, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know YAHWEH: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith YAHWEH: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. [see also Heb 8:8-13]
73) Is it true that if the law is ‘done away’ sin doesn’t exist?
Yes. Without the law there can be no sin.
Romans 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
Romans 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
That means if there is no law, there can be no sin…therefore, there is no need for redemption, and no need for a savior.
74) Is it true that the wages of sin is death, not life in another place?
Yes.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of Yahweh is eternal life through Messiah YahwehShua our Sovereign.
SALVATION:
75) Has anyone gone to heaven?
No
John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
That means that all the righteous people that have ever lived have died in faith, and have not received the promises.
76) Is it true that our hope lies in the resurrection of the dead?
Yes
Acts 24:15 And have hope toward Yahweh, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
Acts 23:6 But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.
77) Is there life after death?
Yes. However, it comes through the resurrection of the dead.
Job 14:14-15 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to complete the work of thine hands.
78) King David of Israel was called a man after the Almighty’s own heart (Acts 13:22). Did David go to heaven?
No.
Acts 2:29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
Acts 2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens….
79) Is it true that the ‘saved’ are going to inherit a kingdom?
Yes.
Matthew 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
80) Is the ‘church’ the kingdom?
No. The body of believers is flesh and blood, and subject to corruption.
1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of the Almighty; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
81) Is it true that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom?
Yes.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of the Almighty? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of the Almighty.
Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of the Almighty.
Ephesians 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Messiah and of the Almighty.
82) Is it true that believers are kings and priests, i.e. a royal priesthood?
Yes.
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our Sovereign, kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Note that the kingdom is ‘on the earth’, not in heaven. This is also reinforced in Mat 6:10 by Messiah Himself.
Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
83) When do the saved receive their reward?
The saved receive their reward at the first resurrection when Messiah returns.
Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
1Thes 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Yah’shua died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Yah’shua will Yahweh bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Sovereign, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Sovereign shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Sovereign himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of Elohim: and the dead in Messiah shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Sovereign in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Sovereign.
84) How long do the saved enjoy this privilege?
For a thousand years!
Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of YahwehShua, and for the word of Yahweh, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Messiah a thousand years.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of Yahweh and of Messiah, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Reconciliation
85) Does the bible really say that Yahweh is the savior of all men?
Yes.
1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living Mighty One, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
86) Is it true that Messiah will disannul death?
Yes. Isa 28:16-18 reveals it!
Therefore thus saith the Sovereign YAHWEH, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation (Mat 21:42; Mk 12:10; Lk 20:17; Acts 4:11; Eph 2:20; 1Pe 2:26-7): he that believeth shall not make haste (be ashamed)…. And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell (better translated as the grave) shall not stand;
87) Does the bible really say that everyone will be made alive in Messiah?
Yes.
1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Messiah shall all be made alive.
88) Does that mean everyone?
Yes. All things in heaven and earth are reconciled through YahwehShua.
Colossians 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his beam, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
89) Is it Yahweh’s will to have all mankind be saved?
Yes.
“Our Savior, YAHWEH, Who wills that ALL mankind be saved and come into a realization of the truth.” (1st Tim 2:4)
90) Is it true that Yahweh will have mercy on the stubborn as well?
Yes.
“For YAHWEH locks up ALL together in stubbornness, that He should be merciful to ALL.” (Rom 11:32)
91) Does the bible really say that because of reconciliation Yahweh is not going to impute sin to the world?
Yes.
For the love of Messiah constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: … And all things are of YAHWEH, who hath reconciled us to himself by YahwehShua Messiah, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To with, that YAHWEH was in Messiah, reconciling the world to himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” 2nd Cor 5:14, 18-19
92) Is it true that life is a free gift to everyone?
Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to Yahweh by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Romans 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
93) Is it true that the bible says Mercy rejoices over judgment?
Yes. After the Day of Judgment and the punishment of the second death, All are reconciled (Col 1:20) and resurrected to life, because Life is a free gift through Messiah (1 Timothy 4:10; Romans 5:18). Since life is the final outcome, mercy rejoices over judgment (James 2:13).
94) When does everyone get this free gift?
According to 1Corinthians 15:24-27, it occurs when Messiah turns everything over to the Father at the creation of the new heavens and new earth. However, those that are Messiah’s will receive ‘age-abiding’ life for His millennial reign.
95) Does that mean everyone gets the same reward?
No. Scripture shows that we are rewarded according to our works (Mat 16:27). Those who are saved IN YahwehShua are the firstborn, receiving an inheritance of power and eternal glory. They are royalty, with all the perks and privileges. This requires repentance of sin, and living a life in obedience to Yahweh’s commandments.
Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished….
96) What is the second resurrection?
The 2nd resurrection is when all mankind, except for those already resurrected in Messiah, are resurrected to physical life.
Ezekiel chapter 37 reveals the physical resurrection of mankind. Yahweh is not a respecter of persons.
Romans 2:9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11 For there is no respect of persons with Yahweh.
97) What is this resurrection for, & how long will they live?
The purpose is to bring all of mankind that has ever lived to repentance. This is the great separation of the sheep and the goats [Mat 25: 32-34,41]. The sheep are those who remain converted, becoming children of The Faith, while the goats are the sinners who lost their ability to repent. This separation takes place over one hundred years after the 1000 year Messianic reign.
Isa 66:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
98) When does this occur?
Yahweh reveals through the prophet Joel that this great day of salvation is when the Holy Spirit is poured out upon all mankind.
Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward [i.e. after the 1000 yr restoration of the kingdom (Acts 1:6)], that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of YAHWEH come.
32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of YAHWEH shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as YAHWEH hath said, and in the remnant whom YAHWEH shall call.
This corresponds to the later harvest, the feast of ingathering in the last great day (Ex 23:16; 34:22; Lev 23:34-37).
John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Yah’shua stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
99) Do All receive mercy?
Yes. Although all deserve death because all have fallen short of the glory of Yahweh, the final judgment is mercy. Life is a Free gift. The ‘sheep’ inherit His Kingdom, but those who must be destroyed by the second death have no part in His kingdom, yet receive mercy and the gift of life.
James 2:13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
Romans 5:17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, YahwehShua Messiah.) 18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
Romans 6: 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of Yahweh is eternal life through Messiah YahwehShua our Sovereign.
The first thing to remember is that Messiah’s blood covers ALL SIN! The Firstborn, are saved IN YahwehShua. They were repentant and converted. This includes all the ‘sheep’ of all ages. The rest are those who failed or rejected their opportunity for conversion, but they are reconciled THROUGH Messiah and are given life, but no inheritance, no power, and no glory, neither are they permitted to enter the Father’s house (New Jerusalem: Rev 22:13-15). [note: the reason why they are tagged as sinners (Rev 22:15) is not because they are continuing in sin, but because they rejected YahwehShua or failed to repent, and are stigmatized, which serves as a warning to any who think it is not important. In the New Heavens and Earth there is no more death, therefore there can be no more sin, so being stigmatized reveals why the reconciled are outside New Jerusalem. However, once this occurs there will be no memory of anything previous, as the former things are forgotten. (Isa 65:17; Rev 21:4)]
